Description
A crew vessel, also called a Crew Boat or Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV), is a specialized, high-speed monohull or catamaran designed for the safe and efficient transport of offshore personnel, light cargo, and urgent stores between onshore bases and offshore assets such as FPSOs, platforms, drilling rigs, and FLNG facilities.1. PRIMARY PURPOSE & OPERATIONS Crew Change: Daily/weekly transfer of technicians, engineers, and operational staff Light Logistics: Transport of spares, tools, provisions, and documents under 2-5 tons Emergency Response: Fast evacuation, medical transfer, and standby rescue duties Standby Support: On-site guard duty and immediate response vessel for offshore assets. 2. HULL & PERFORMANCE Hull Type: Deep-V monohull or aluminum catamaran for high speed + fuel efficiency Length Overall: 25m β 45m for nearshore; 50m+ for deep offshore operations Speed: 12 β 17 knots service speed. Max speed 17+ knots for rapid crew change windows Range/Endurance: 300 β 800 nautical miles depending on size and fuel capacity Sea keeping: Designed for comfort and safety in Sea State 4-5. Shock-mitigating seats reduce fatigue3. CAPACITY & ACCOMMODATION Passenger Capacity: 12 β 60 POB depending on class and route. TV/VHF. Toilets/showers, galley/pantry.
